A tragic incident occurred in Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, where a businessman identified as Ismaila Awoyinka was reportedly assassinated by unknown gunmen. The victim, who was in the business of selling building materials, was attacked at his residence shortly after leaving the mosque following Ramadan prayers. Witnesses stated that individuals in white attire disembarked from a motorcycle near his house, ambushed him, and fatally shot him as he was about to enter his home.
