Police arrest woman for strangling co-wife to death in Bauchi

In Bauchi State, a 28-year-old woman named Fatima Mohammed has been arrested by the police for the alleged murder of her co-wife, Hajara Isa, by strangulation in their shared home. The case came to light when Sale Isa, the husband of both women, reported the suspicious circumstances surrounding his wife’s death on March 3, 2025.

Fatima Mohammed was apprehended and reportedly confessed to the crime during questioning. She admitted to strangling Hajara to death and attempting to hide the act by scalding her with hot water and burning her body with a melted Bagco sack.
