20-room building gutted by cooking gas fire in Kwara

A fire incident destroyed a 20-room one-storey building in Oke-Apomu area, Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State. The fire, which started from a gas cooker, ravaged household items such as beds, bedding, clothes, and utensils. The Kwara State Fire Service swiftly responded to the scene and managed to save 13 out of the 20 rooms.

According to the Head of Media and Publicity of the Kwara State Fire Service, the fire was caused by an unattended gas cooker. The Director of the Fire Service emphasized the importance of fire safety to prevent such incidents in the future. The Fire Service is dedicated to protecting lives and properties through proactive fire prevention and rapid emergency response.
