An organization recently provided food assistance to more than 3,000 women, including widows, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, in support of women during the Ramadan fasting period. This initiative was announced after a successful Ramadan lecture held at Ake Palace in Abeokuta. The food distribution comprised rice and garri to help alleviate the challenges faced by women during the holy month.
The Convener of the foundation highlighted the importance of recognizing women’s role in community development during the event. Additionally, support was shown for a political figure representing Ogun West Senatorial District. The event also featured a guest speaker who emphasized the significant contributions of women to community development.
