PDP postpones NEC meeting again, reschedules for May 15

The National Executive Committee meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party has been postponed to May 15, 2025, as communicated by the party’s National Secretary. This delay is due to ongoing congresses at various levels and the necessity for additional consultations, marking the fifth rescheduling of the meeting. Internal divisions have escalated within the party, notably since the appointment of a new acting National Chairman. Previous attempts to address critical issues during the 98th NEC meeting were unsuccessful, leading to further discord within the party structure. Despite efforts from party leaders and stakeholders to convene the NEC meeting promptly, it has been postponed several times, with the latest date set for May 15, 2025. The announcement of this latest postponement was made following consultations with key party organs to ensure a smooth and productive meeting.
