Troops raid Plateau kidnappers’ den, rescue seven

A team from the Special Military Taskforce in Plateau State successfully rescued seven individuals who had been kidnapped in the Riyom Local Government Area. The spokesperson for the taskforce, Major Samson Zhakom, confirmed this positive development. The rescue operation took place as part of ongoing efforts by troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH) in the area. The victims, from Bauchi State, were identified as Mr. Sale Umar, Muhammadu Inusa, Abdullahi Abdulrasaq, Abdulsalam Muhammad, Muhammad Hamisu, Ibrahim Maradu, and Saidu Sani. Following the rescue, the victims were debriefed for valuable information that could assist in further operations against the kidnapping syndicate. The troops will continue their pursuit of criminal elements in the region to ensure their arrest and prosecution.
