Woman arraigned for fake testimony of buying N200m duplex

A woman, aged 32, named Loveth Helen Alo, has been brought before the Enugu North Magisterial District Court for allegedly falsely claiming ownership of a five-bedroom duplex in WTC Estate, Enugu. The Enugu State Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Daniel Ndukwe, disclosed that detectives arrested Alo following a petition accusing her of making false ownership claims. Alo had proclaimed in a testimony at a religious gathering that she was blessed by God with the property. However, upon questioning, she confessed to the deception, stating she acted alone. Ndukwe outlined that Alo faces charges including obtaining by false pretense, defamation of character, and attempting to commit a felony by trying to sell the property. Alo was granted bail, with the case set for further hearing on April 9, 2025.
