The Ogun State Police Command has apprehended two brothers, Philips and Charles Igbodo, on suspicion of stealing five bags of cement in the Idiroko area. The brothers were initially caught by a member of the Amotekun Corps. Philips, employed as a security officer at a nearby hospital, allegedly took the cement from a construction site. The Amotekun member reported the incident to the Idiroko Police Division. Philips, one of the brothers, admitted to the theft. The stolen cement was believed to be from a construction site. The suspects are currently in police custody as investigations are ongoing.
In a previous incident, three siblings named Ismaila, Tobi, and Yetunde Adeosun were arrested by the same police command in 2018 for involvement in robbery. The siblings were part of a cross-border robbery gang and were apprehended by police response squad operatives.
