A remarkable performance by Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen saw Galatasaray triumph 4-0 over Antalyaspor. Osimhen scored a hat-trick, with Álvaro Morata adding a goal from a penalty kick to seal the victory.
Osimhen opened the scoring in the 30th minute with an assist from Morata. Morata then doubled the lead with a penalty just before halftime. Osimhen struck again in injury time of the first half, this time with an assist from B. Yılmaz.
In the second half, Osimhen completed his hat-trick with an assist from Y. Akgün in the 52nd minute. This hat-trick takes Osimhen’s season tally to 20 league goals in 22 appearances, making him the top scorer in the Turkish Süper Lig.
Since joining Galatasaray on loan from Napoli, Osimhen has scored 26 goals and provided 5 assists in 30 appearances across all competitions.
Galatasaray’s dominant performance cements their position at the top of the Süper Lig table. With 71 points from 26 matches, they maintain an unbeaten record with 21 wins and 5 draws.
The victory extends their lead over their closest rivals, Fenerbahçe, to 10 points with two games in hand. The match also marked Okan Buruk’s 100th game in charge as head coach.
Substitutions were made in the 68th minute, with Yunus Akgün, Lucas Torreira, and Victor Osimhen making way for Roland Sallai, Dries Mertens, and Mario Lemina. Antalyaspor’s only attack in the second half was blocked by Muslera, and further changes and attempts at goal followed in the latter part of the game.
