A well-known actor and comedian, referred to as Ijoba Lande, has clarified the content of a widely circulated video showing his interaction with another actor, Baba Tee. In the video, he explained that he neither apologized nor expressed gratitude, setting the record straight on the encounter. Lande mentioned that due to unresolved issues, he currently has no plans to collaborate with Baba Tee.
During an interview, Lande disclosed that he had consistently turned down opportunities to work with Baba Tee. He accepted an invitation from Yemi Elesho without knowing that Baba Tee would also be present. Lande expressed his stance by saying, “I am open to working with him in the future, but not at this moment.”
Detailing the events that led to the video, Lande shared that upon arriving at Elesho’s place, Baba Tee unexpectedly arrived and immediately began apologizing. Lande mentioned that Baba Tee had hesitated to reach out directly but was relieved to address the issue in person. Despite accepting the apology, Lande reiterated his decision not to work with Baba Tee at present for safety and personal reasons.
Lande clarified that he was unaware of being recorded during the incident and explained his actions in the video. He also mentioned that Baba Tee was the one who shared the video and responded with a message of ‘Peace and love’ when questioned about it. Lande emphasized the importance of caution in the industry once a person gains recognition.
Regarding his ex-wife’s apology, Lande stated that he did not intend to forgive or forget the past events. He mentioned that despite her public apology, he was not willing to forgive her due to her subsequent actions. Lande pointed out discrepancies in his ex-wife’s recent interview and expressed his reluctance to engage further to avoid negative perceptions.
