Rwanda’s win, shows team’s hard work, dedication- Troost-Ekong

The Captain of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, William Troost-Ekong, has commended Victor Osimhen, placing him among the top attackers globally alongside teammate Ademola Lookman.

During a speech in Kigali, Troost-Ekong highlighted Osimhen’s outstanding performance, where he scored two goals in Nigeria’s 2-0 victory against Rwanda.

While recognizing Osimhen’s impressive display, Troost-Ekong stressed the teamwork that contributed to the team’s triumph.

He mentioned, “Individual performances aside, the win against Rwanda showcased the team’s collective effort and commitment. Everyone played their role, and this unity will propel us forward.”

Troost-Ekong also acknowledged the debut of Tolu Arokodare coming off the bench and praised Alhassan Yusuf, who he mentioned played in an unfamiliar position.

Additionally, Troost-Ekong congratulated Eric Chelle on his first victory, noting that “the match was challenging.”

“We aim to grasp the coach’s instructions. With just two training sessions and extensive video analysis, today’s victory hints at what we can achieve under Coach Eric Chelle,” Troost-Ekong remarked.

He credited his career highlight to his tenure with the team for the past decade, where he had the privilege of learning from various captains.
