A man, known as Wealth Nnamdi, is on the run after allegedly murdering his pregnant fiancee, Osasu Isaac, and her daughter, Miracle, following a dispute in Idiangbona Street, Ovbiogoe Community, Benin, Edo State.
According to a neighbor, Nnamdi and Osasu had an argument on March 16 that tragically resulted in their deaths. The couple was preparing for their upcoming traditional marriage on March 29 and church wedding on April 6.
The neighbor disclosed that Osasu, a petty trader, and Wealth Nnamdi had been in a relationship for over three years. Nnamdi had moved in with Osasu and her daughter from a previous marriage. The disturbing incident occurred after a heated argument between the couple, leading to the death of Osasu and Miracle.
The police have launched an investigation into the double murder. The Police Public Relations Officer of the Edo State Command, Moses Yamu, confirmed that the primary suspect is Osasu’s live-in lover, Wealth Nnamdi. The bodies of Osasu and Miracle were discovered in their home after neighbors reported a foul smell emanating from the room.
Wealth Nnamdi has been on the run since the discovery of the bodies, and law enforcement authorities are actively pursuing his arrest.
