Moffi, Zaidu to battle Stuttgart in Europa League

Super Eagles stars Terem Moffi and Zaidu Sanusi will spearhead FC Porto’s Europa League campaign when the Portuguese giants take on VfB Stuttgart in the round of 16, while Ola Aina’s Nottingham Forest will host Danish side Midtjylland, Sports Extra reports.

Moffi and Zaidu will be key figures for Porto as they target a deep run in the competition, with the tie against Stuttgart promising to be a stern examination of their European credentials.

For Aina, Forest will hold home advantage for the first leg of their Midtjylland tie, with the second leg to follow on March 19. The full-back has been a consistent presence in Forest’s defensive setup this season and will be integral to their hopes of progressing.

Notably, the draw has set up a potential all-Premier League quarter-final between Forest and Aston Villa if both sides advance, with Villa facing Lille in their last-16 tie, the first leg taking place in France.

The first legs across both the Europa League and Conference League are scheduled for March 12, with the second legs on March 19.
