Makinde to grace BSN board meeting

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde will on May 20, 2026, declare open the 59th National Board Meeting of the Bible Society of Nigeria with a divine service at the First Baptist Church, Oke Elerin, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

The society’s Manager, Media, Benjamin Mordi, said in a statement made available to Sunday on Saturday that the national board meeting would be held in Ogbomoso on Thursday.

“The President and Board Chairman of the Society, Bishop Banwo, will preside over the meeting. Discussions will centre on past and future activities of the organisation in line with its Bible work mandate.

“The organisation’s accounts for the past year will also be reviewed, while the General Secretary and Chief Executive Officer, Pastor Samuel Sanusi, is expected to present the annual report,” Mordi stated.

He further disclosed that BSN Patron, Former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon (retd.), national officers, members of the board of trustees, delegates from across the country, and senior members of the management team will be in attendance.

The Bible Society of Nigeria is a non-profit, interdenominational Christian organisation committed to translating the Bible into Nigerian languages, publishing, and distributing the Holy Scriptures.
