Nollywood stars— Faithia Williams and Saidi Balogun— are once again giving fans something to talk about, and this time, it is their admirable co-parenting relationship and growing public support for each other despite their past.
Over the years, the former couple has experienced its fair share of marital turbulence, but recent moments shared online have shown a much softer and united side of their relationship. Fans have especially been moved by how supportive Saidi has been toward Faithia Williams’ latest cinema project, Efunroye: The Unicorn.
The veteran actors have been spotted together creating promotional content for the historical epic, with their chemistry and playful interactions sparking reactions across social media. In one recent video making the rounds online, Faithia and Saheed were seen dancing happily together while promoting the movie, leaving many netizens emotional and excited to see them sharing peaceful moments again.
Interestingly, both actors share the same birthday, and during this year’s celebration, Faithia stirred reactions after referring to Saidi as her “Efunroye King” in a heartfelt post.
Their renewed public friendship has caught attention because the pair officially divorced on January 17, 2014, after years of separation that reportedly began in 2006. Despite the split, they have maintained a cordial relationship centered around raising their children peacefully and supporting each other’s careers.
Faithia also publicly stood by Saidi during one of the most difficult moments of his life following the heartbreaking loss of his first daughter, Zeenat, in October 2024. Zeenat, who was Saidi’s daughter from a previous relationship, shared a meaningful stepdaughter – stepmother bond with Fathia, who expressed deep sorrow and concern after her passing.
Recently, the former couple appears to have successfully moved beyond their differences, focusing instead on family, mutual respect, and their children’s success.
Their children have also been actively supporting Fathia’s new movie, which is a historical epic based on the life of legendary Yoruba businesswoman and political figure, Madam Efunroye Tinubu.
Their son, Khalid, previously made headlines after graduating with a first-class degree from the university, while their daughter, Aaliyah, has also remained close to both parents.
In past interviews and public posts, Fathia has repeatedly described Saidi as an amazing father, and fans are now praising both actors for showing that peaceful co-parenting and maturity after divorce is still possible.
