Kano agency arrests Kwankwaso’s nephew, others over alleged contract scam

The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission recently made arrests in connection to an alleged multi-billion naira drugs supply scam. Among those arrested were individuals including a nephew of a former governor. The arrests were confirmed by the commission’s Public Relations Officer. It was reported that the suspects collaborated to secure a contract for drug supply to 38 LGAs, breaching public procurement laws. Investigations revealed that despite payments made by the LGAs, the drugs were not delivered. The suspects are said to be cooperating with the ongoing investigation. The commission is determined to uncover the full scope of the scam and ensure that those involved face justice. Currently, the arrested individuals are in custody as the investigation continues.
