The Nigerian Education Loan Fund recently announced that a substantial sum of N2,946,927,155 has been distributed to 27,667 students across 19 institutions nationwide. This information was shared through the Fund’s official communication platform, identified as #NELFUND.
In a recent update, it was reported that students from 22 state-owned tertiary institutions are now eligible to apply for student loans following a thorough review by the Student Verification System committee. This approval has expanded the total number of approved state institutions to 108.
The list of approved institutions, along with the corresponding amounts disbursed, includes notable names such as the University of Maiduguri, University of Ibadan, University of Ilorin, University of Benin, Federal University, Dutsin-Ma, Bayero University, Kano, among others.
