- Deadline for Document Submissions: All submissions under the old system are either being migrated or discontinued based on their relevance. Applicants are required to adhere to the new procedures outlined on the active website.
Managing Interview Appointments
With the new US visa website for Nigeria 2024 now operational, here’s how to handle interview appointments:
- Existing Appointments pre-26 August 2024: Appointments scheduled before the new system’s launch date will proceed as planned. Applicants will receive an email within two business days from 26th of August with instructions on setting up their account on the new platform. No need to contact support; simply await the email for further guidance. Remember to check your email spam folder as well to avoid missing important communications.
Payment of Visa Fees for US Visa in Nigeria 2024 and Beyond
Following the completion of the transition, please take note of the following:
- No Cash Payments: Visa payments must now be made solely through the new website, similar to other online transactions. The previous cash payment method through GT Bank is no longer available.
- GT Bank Online Payment Changes: The option to pay via GT bank internet banking may no longer have the monopoly on online US visa fee payments. If available, it will not be the exclusive online payment method anymore.
