President Bola Tinubu expressed his condolences to former Minister of Defence, Professor Iya Abubakar, on the passing of his wife, Hajiya Ummu Abubakar. Hajiya Abubakar, who was also the mother-in-law of the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, passed away in Abuja at the age of 78.
In a statement from his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu praised the deceased for her commitment to God and family values, noting that she will be fondly remembered for her good deeds. He prayed for God’s mercy on her soul and encouraged her family to uphold the honorable legacy she left behind.
