A new addition to the Crawley Town FC team, Benjamin Tanimu, has received a last-minute call-up to join the Super Eagles camp for the upcoming 2025 AFCON qualifiers in place of the injured Bright Osayi-Samuel, who plays in Turkey. Tanimu was confirmed to have joined the camp in Uyo alongside Samuel Chukwueze from AC Milan, as announced by the Super Eagles media channels.
The team revealed the update on Tanimu replacing Osayi-Samuel due to the latter’s recent injury while playing for Fenerbahce. Tanimu, originally left out of the 23-man list, now gets the opportunity to earn his fourth cap for the national team.
Having previously featured in friendly matches and World Cup qualifiers, Tanimu’s journey includes a move to Crawley Town FC from Singida Black Stars. He had a notable stint with Benin Arsenal during their impressive unbeaten run in the NPFL.
