The Olubadan of Ibadanland has appointed Olugbemiga Ayoade as his Chief Press Secretary, as per a letter dated August 29, 2024, signed by Prince Olasunmbo Olakulehin on behalf of the monarch.
Ayoade, born into the Taiwo Ariyibi Dynasty of E8/215, Eleruko compound, Oke Ofa Baba Isale, holds a Diploma in Mass Communication from the Ibadan Polytechnic, a bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology (1989), and a master’s in Sociology (1995) from the University of Ibadan.
He retired from the Oyo State Civil Service as Director Public Enlightenment and Mass Mobilisation in the Oyo State Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism. Ayoade has been actively involved in various roles in the Nigeria Union of Journalists, both at the state and national levels.
Currently, he serves as the chairman of the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee of the Oyo State NUJ.
