The governor of Katsina State, Dikko Radda, has restated his government’s commitment to implementing the recently announced N70,000 minimum wage set by the Federal Government.
This commitment was reiterated during the Public Engagement, 2025 Citizens Budget Participation Process, and Launching of Community Development Programme held in Katsina.
“Katsina State is determined to lead in the implementation of the new minimum wage. We are awaiting guidelines from the federal government to ensure a smooth and efficient rollout,” stated the governor.
Radda emphasized the administration’s focus on improving service delivery within the public sector.
“Our dedication to reforming the public service remains strong. Introducing measures like competency tests for recruitment and leadership appointments in public offices is vital to ensuring a skilled and effective workforce for the people of Katsina,” Radda expressed.
He reassured the government’s proactive stance on employee welfare and public sector efficiency.
“The administration’s commitment to service delivery reforms, in addition to its readiness to implement the new minimum wage, showcases a holistic approach towards enhancing governance and the well-being of Katsina State residents,” he further added.
