A visit was made by the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party to Benin on Tuesday to rally support for the LP governorship candidate, Olumide Akpata, in preparation for the September 21 governorship election in Edo State.

During addresses at various campaign venues, it was emphasized by Obi that eligible voters in the state should turn out in numbers to vote for Akpata, affirming that the LP candidate was highly capable of addressing the challenges in Edo State.

“I am here to convey that the Labour Party’s candidate, Olumide Akpata, possesses the skills to improve and progress the state,” Obi informed the audience.

Encouraging the electorate to participate actively by voting for their party’s candidate, Obi stated, “I am present here to rally support for our candidate and assure you that he will deliver on his promises.”

The LP campaign team journeyed from the party’s office at Saponba Road through Ring Road, Oba Market, Mission Road, New Benin, and New Lagos Road.

Despite the early rain, party supporters demonstrated their commitment by accompanying their leaders across the city to attract voters for the upcoming election.
