JUST IN: Lagos, Abia, Ebonyi, Akwa Ibom get new police commissioners

The Police Service Commission has recently approved the appointment of four new Commissioners of Police for different state commands. These appointments were made due to the recent promotions within the police force which resulted in vacancies in various state commands.

The newly appointed Commissioners of Police are Isah Nda for Abia State Command, Olanrewaju Olawale for Lagos State Command, Anthonia Anya for Ebonyi State Command, and Miller Dantawaye for Akwa Ibom State Command. However, no Commissioner of Police has been appointed for the Federal Capital Territory Command yet, despite the former Commissioner being promoted and redeployed.

The Chairman of the commission emphasized that the new appointees need to bring about positive changes in the security management of their respective states. He highlighted the importance of building a competitive and efficient police force and encouraged them to deliver optimal service.

These appointments are seen as a call for greater dedication to serving the nation. The approval for these postings has been forwarded to the Inspector General of Police for implementation.
