Eid-el Maulud: PDP asks FG to review anti-people policies

On the occasion of Eid-el Maulud, the Peoples Democratic Party is calling on the Federal Government to reconsider policies impacting citizens negatively and prioritize their well-being. The government had declared Monday a public holiday for the celebration of Eid-el Maulud.

In a statement by the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, the party emphasized the need for the government to address wasteful spending, combat corruption, and invest resources in projects that directly benefit Nigerians.

The party’s message highlighted the importance of unity and faith during these challenging times of economic hardship and insecurity exacerbated by the current administration’s policies.

Encouraging Nigerians to remain hopeful and compassionate, the PDP urged citizens to use Eid-el Maulud as an opportunity to express love and solidarity while praying for divine guidance in national affairs.

The party also urged leaders to reflect on their decisions and policies that contribute to the suffering of the people, calling for a review of detrimental policies such as fuel price increases and tax hikes that burden citizens.

Additionally, the PDP advised the government to eliminate wasteful spending, tackle corruption, and prioritize projects that directly improve the welfare of Nigerians.
