The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria emphasized the need for leaders in the country to focus on implementing policies that can help alleviate poverty.
He shared this message in his Eid-ul-Maulud greetings to Muslims, underscoring the importance of good governance and transparent leadership in rebuilding hope for the nation’s future.
Additionally, he called for unity and encouraged religious leaders to continue promoting messages of tolerance and coexistence among all Nigerians.
“Warm greetings from the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to our Muslim brothers and sisters as you celebrate Eid-ul-Maulud, honoring the birth of the Muslim Prophet Muhammad. This occasion invites us to reflect on the values of peace, compassion, and unity exemplified by the Prophet and to embody these principles in our daily lives,” he expressed.
“As we come together in celebration, let us acknowledge the challenges facing our country. Leaders are urged to prioritize policies that can alleviate people’s suffering and ensure justice and fairness for all. The restoration of hope and confidence in our nation’s future hinges on good governance and transparent leadership,” he continued.
“I urge all religious leaders to persist in promoting tolerance and coexistence. Let us inspire our communities to engage in acts of kindness and support, especially for the less privileged,” he concluded.
