They were seen turning back some vehicles on Ekhewan Road and scrutinizing those occupied by journalists before allowing them to proceed. Certain areas like the Ringroad axis, Sakponba Road, and Ihama Road were blocked, especially around polling locations. Residents walking to their polling units were stopped by security personnel for verification. A resident named Adesuwa mentioned that the heightened security measures were necessary to prevent potential troublemakers from causing chaos.
