Niger traditional rulers condole with Yobe over flood havoc

A group of traditional rulers from Niger Republic visited Yobe State to offer condolences for the recent floods and the Mafa incidents that caused loss of life and property. The Emir of Maine-Soroa, Abdou Katielou Katiella Gasso, led the delegation and emphasized the close cultural and familial ties between the two regions.

Governor Mai Mala Buni appreciated the support from the traditional rulers, highlighting the importance of maintaining and fostering such relationships. Another visitor, former Deputy Governor and Minister of Power, Engr. Abubakar Aliyu, also paid a sympathy visit to Governor Buni following the tragic Mafa attack, condemning the violence and praying for the victims.

Governor Buni expressed gratitude for the visits, acknowledging the shared grief and assuring continued efforts to protect the state’s residents, particularly those in border areas facing security challenges.
