In recognition of their exceptional academic achievements, the Governor of Ogun State rewarded the top three graduating students of Ogun State Polytechnic of Health and Allied Sciences Ilese-Ijebu with a cash prize of N2.5 million each during the institution’s 3rd combined convocation ceremony. The students who received the award demonstrated outstanding performance in their respective departments, showcasing their dedication to academic excellence.
The Governor emphasized the importance of creating an environment that fosters intellectual growth and excellence, stating that investing in education is crucial for societal development. He commended the institution’s management for its commitment to progress and highlighted the government’s dedication to supporting students and educational institutions.
Encouraging the graduating students to make a positive impact in the healthcare sector, the Governor urged them to provide quality services that would benefit the nation’s well-being. Dr. Rasaki Akinbo, the Rector of the institution, praised the advancements made since the polytechnic’s upgrade, positioning it as a leading institution in health and allied sciences education.
The institution’s development was further highlighted, including the accreditation of new programs and the renovation of key facilities. The Chairman of the Governing Council appealed for additional state government support to enhance the institution’s infrastructure, emphasizing the importance of continued investment in educational facilities.
