Ogun State’s leader, Dapo Abiodun, has pledged to keep enacting policies and executing initiatives that will provide relief to the people during challenging times. He made this commitment during a Christmas Service held at St. James’ Anglican Church, Iperu-Remo, Ikenne Local Government Area. Abiodun acknowledged the economic difficulties in the country but assured that his government is focused on helping the people overcome these challenges.
The governor mentioned initiatives such as raising the minimum wage, offering free health insurance and health programs for vulnerable groups like the elderly, women, and children to improve the quality of life for residents. He urged for patience and promised that the benefits of ongoing reforms would soon be visible to the citizens.
Abiodun emphasized the importance of inclusivity in governance, ensuring that everyone’s voice is heard through consultations with various stakeholders before making decisions that impact the community. He highlighted the essence of Christmas as a time for love, fellowship, and gratitude, encouraging people to prioritize the gift of life over material possessions.
The sermon at the church service focused on the joy and hope brought by the birth of Jesus, emphasizing the values of peace, compassion, and unity during the festive season. The Vicar commended Governor Abiodun for infrastructure projects and urged him to continue leading with integrity and dedication.
In a symbolic gesture, Governor Abiodun read a Bible passage from Isaiah during the service, reinforcing his commitment to serving the people with humility and faith.
