The administration of a school in Gudu District, Abuja, has refuted claims of bullying following a video that circulated online showing senior students allegedly mistreating a junior student referred to as Imtiyas. The school’s principal clarified that the incident in the video was a playful act misinterpreted as bullying, emphasizing the school’s policy of open communication between students and staff. The principal mentioned that the students themselves recorded the performance using a school-provided device, and other students present during the act did not report any bullying. The principal adamantly denied any bullying incident at the school and expressed surprise at the allegations made by the family of the student involved. It was noted that in the 14 years of the school’s operation, there had been no previous reports of bullying or similar incidents.
