A lawyer representing the National President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, has stated that the president will not be able to attend an invitation from the Nigeria Police Force due to a prior commitment made before receiving the invitation.
The police had invited the president for questioning regarding allegations of various offenses including terrorism financing, treasonable felony, and cybercrime.
In response to the police’s warning of a possible arrest if the president fails to appear for questioning, a letter was sent on his behalf stating his unavailability and his intention to honor the invitation on a later date.
The lawyer’s letter requested details of the allegations against the president in accordance with the constitution.
The letter concluded with a request for a response and expressed regards.
