Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade tops Nigeria’s most valuable female footballers, ahead of Asisat Oshoala and Chiamaka Nnadozie, in this Soccerdona’s valuations explored by OLAMIDE ABE
Rasheedat Ajibade – €425,000
Taking the throne as Nigeria’s most valuable female footballer is the Super Falcons captain, Ajibade. Now 26 and at the peak of her powers, the “Girl with the Blue Hair” has transitioned from a promising winger to a European powerhouse.
Her move to Paris Saint-Germain from Atletico has seen her value soar by €25,000 to €425,000. Ajibade’s valuation is a testament to her versatility; she is as comfortable orchestrating play from the midfield as she is leading a clinical counter-attack. She has played 17 games for the club this season, and her consistent output for both club and country has made her the undisputed financial heavyweight of the Super Falcons.
Jennifer Echegini – €375,000
Right on Ajibade’s heels is her PSG teammate, Jennifer “Joe” Echegini. Valued at €375,000, the 25-year-old midfielder represents the modern profile of a box-to-box engine. After a prolific stint in Italy with Juventus, her transition to the French capital has solidified her status as one of the world’s most efficient midfielders. The Dutch-born midfielder’s ability to find the net from deep positions, a rarity in her role, has inflated her market stock. She has featured 24 times for the club this season across the Première Ligue and Champions League, providing seven goal contributions. As she approaches her prime, her valuation suggests she could soon become the first Nigerian player to reach the half-million-euro mark.
Gift Monday – €300,000
The highest-valued Nigerian in the United States, Monday, has seen a meteoric rise since joining Washington Spirit. At just 24, she is the youngest player in the top three, with a sharp rise in market value from €80,000 at Tenerife in 2025 to €300,000 in a year.
Monday’s value is driven by her “clutch” factor; she has developed a reputation in the NWSL for scoring game-winning goals in high-pressure scenarios. Her record-breaking hat-trick in the NWSL last season has only served to justify this valuation, making her one of the most sought-after young forwards in North American football.
Asisat Oshoala – €280,000
For the first time since leaving the United States, Oshoala no longer occupies the top spot due to stagnation in her valuation after moving to Saudi Arabia, but her influence remains massive.
At €280,000, the 31-year-old’s presence in Al-Hilal is a new chapter for African icons in Asia. While her age naturally leads to a slight cooling of resale value, her brand and goal-scoring pedigree remain world-class.
Chiamaka Nnadozie – €125,000
Goalkeepers often suffer from lower market valuations compared to strikers, but Chiamaka Nnadozie is breaking the mould.
Now guarding the net for Brighton & Hove Albion in the English WSL, the 25-year-old is valued at €125,000 and is unarguably the best Nigerian footballer at the moment. Widely considered the best goalkeeper in Africa and one of the top five globally, Nnadozie’s move to England has brought her under the intense spotlight of one of the world’s most-watched league and she has been in terrific form, topping the saves percentage (75.7), saves per game (4.2), goals prevented (3.4), recoveries (11.1) second most clean sheets (6) in addition to her clean sheet in the FA Cup to knock Arsenal out, which makes her an invaluable asset for the Seagulls.
Rinsola Babajide – €100,000
Operating in the heart of the Italian capital, Babajide has seen a market value rise to €100,000, making her the sixth and last Nigerian to hit six figures.
The 27-year-old forward has found a home at AS Roma, where her flair and dribbling ability have become a staple of their Champions League campaigns. Babajide’s valuation reflects her consistency in one of Europe’s most tactical leagues. Her dual-threat ability to create and score ensures she remains a key player to have appeared in five competitions for the club this season across Serie A, Coppa Italia, Supercoppa, Serie A Women’s Cup and UEFA Champions League, where she has provided seven goal contributions over 26 games.
Michelle Alozie – €80,000
Nigeria’s most recognisable defender, Alozie, carries a valuation of €80,000. Now with the Chicago Stars, Alozie’s value stems from her unique athleticism and her ability to contribute to the attack from the right-back position.
Beyond the pitch, she is a marketing powerhouse, but her Soccerdona valuation focuses strictly on her reliability in the NWSL. At 28, she remains one of the most athletic full-backs and reliable player for the Super Falcons.
Toni Payne – €70,000
Payne’s move to Everton has seen her stabilise as a key creative force in the WSL. Valued at €70,000, the 30-year-old’s worth is tied to her high football IQ and tactical flexibility.
Whether playing as a winger or a “number 10,” Payne provides the link-up play that modern European coaches crave. While her age puts a ceiling on her financial valuation, her performance suggests she is playing some of the most refined football of her career.
Rofiat Imuran – €65,000
The youngest player on this list, 21-year-old Imuran, is a name to watch for the future. Currently with London City Lionesses in the WSL, her €65,000 valuation is a “buy low” signal for major clubs as she has been on an upward turn from €10,000 in 2023 to €30,000 and her current €65,000 in 2025.
As a left-back with blistering pace and excellent crossing ability, she represents the next generation of the Super Falcons’ defence from her breakthrough year in the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. Her value is expected to skyrocket if she makes a predicted jump to a top-tier WSL side in the coming transfer window or becomes a regular in the national team.
Uchenna Kanu – €55,000
Rounding out the top ten is Kanu, currently plying her trade in Mexico with Cruz Azul. Valued at €55,000, she remains a potent threat in front of goal, evidently through her hat-trick three days ago.
The Liga MX Femenil is a rapidly growing market, and Kanu’s presence there has helped raise the league’s profile. At 28, she provides a veteran presence and a clinical edge that keep her among the elite earners and valued players in the Nigerian national setup.
