The founder of Liberty Foundation Gospel Ministries is taking legal action against a singer known as Bloody Civilian for alleged defamation, seeking N200 billion in damages. The demand for an apology and compensation was made in a letter dated November 25, 2024. The controversy arose when a social media user posted about the pastor’s birthday, to which Bloody Civilian responded with a controversial claim. This led to a threat of legal action from the pastor’s daughter. The legal counsel described the singer’s comments as reckless and libelous, demanding a public apology and compensation. The letter also mentioned police and DSS investigations that reportedly debunked the claims against the pastor. The demand letter required a written apology and the payment of N200 billion in damages within a week.
