The Ekiti State Amotekun Corps recently apprehended a 25-year-old man, Ojo Adewunmi, for allegedly trying to assault a 19-year-old girl in Ilawe Ekiti. The Head of Communications for Ekiti Amotekun, Abiodun Adeleye, confirmed the incident. The girl, who was rescued by Amotekun operatives, was reportedly locked indoors by the suspect in an attempt to sexually assault her. Thankfully, the officers intervened, preventing the assault. The victim expressed her gratitude for the timely assistance. The suspect has been handed over to the Ilawe Ekiti Police Division for further investigation and potential legal action.
