APC clears seven aspirants for Anambra gov primary

The Screening Committee of the All Progressives Congress for the 2025 Anambra State Governorship Election has given clearance to all seven aspirants vying for the party’s ticket in the forthcoming primary election set for April 5, 2025. The committee, headed by a former Governor of Katsina State, Ibrahim Shema, made the announcement in a statement released by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka. The aspirants who passed the screening include Sir Paul Chukwuma, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, Mr. Chukwuma Umeoji, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, Mr. Johnbosco Onunkwo, and Edozie Madu. Morka confirmed that all aspirants have obtained their Certificates of Clearance at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

Additionally, it was revealed that Valentine Ozigbo was granted a waiver by the party to participate in the primary election. The party instructed all members in Anambra State, both old and new, to validate their membership in preparation for the upcoming primary election. Now that the screening phase is over, the cleared aspirants will progress to the next phase of the party’s nomination process as the APC aims to secure victory in the upcoming Anambra State governorship election.
