The All Progressives Congress emerged victorious in all chairmanship and councillorship positions in the recently held local government elections in Katsina State.
Acknowledging the results, the state chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council extended congratulations to the winners and emphasized the importance of promoting democracy in the state.
Five political parties participated in the elections, with the APC securing all 34 chairmanship and 361 councillorship seats, as announced by the Chairman of the Katsina State Independent Electoral Commission.
Apologizing for the delay in result announcement, the commission cited late submissions from several local government areas as the reason for the delay.
The process was commended for its peaceful and transparent nature, with a special mention to the candidates who displayed courage and commitment during the elections.
The Governor of Katsina State also joined in congratulating the winners on their success.
