APC ward chairman suspended in Edo

The executive members of a political party in a local government area in Edo State have taken action against their Chairman, Musa Abdulahi. He has been suspended due to alleged involvement in anti-party activities, misconduct, and insubordination. The suspension was decided in a meeting held at Ward 8, Iddo Okpella, Etsako East Local government area. The ward executive, along with 22 other leaders, made the decision citing Abdulahi’s failure to lead the party effectively, misappropriation of funds, and collusion with opposition parties. The suspended chairman has been instructed to return all party properties and documents and to refrain from representing himself as a party member. Failure to comply may result in legal action as per the party’s constitution. The executive members emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline, democracy, accountability, transparency, and integrity within the party. They also expressed their continued support for another party member. Abdulahi, when reached for comment, claimed to be unaware of his suspension.
