A substitute appearance by Jamal Musiala proved decisive for Bayern Munich, as he scored twice in a 4-2 win over Heidenheim. This victory extended Bayern’s lead at the top of the Bundesliga to six points.
Despite dominating the game, Bayern struggled to convert their pressure into goals in the absence of Harry Kane. Dayot Upamecano’s header from a corner gave Bayern a 1-0 lead at halftime.
However, Upamecano’s mistake early in the second half allowed Heidenheim to equalize. Vincent Kompany, Bayern’s manager, introduced Musiala as a substitute, and the young player quickly made an impact by scoring just five minutes later.
Although Leon Goretzka extended Bayern’s lead, Heidenheim continued to push, with Niklas Dorsch scoring a goal. Musiala sealed the victory for Bayern with his second goal, receiving praise from veteran player Thomas Müller for his performance.
