Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman and Chiamaka Nnadozie are among the finalists for this year’s CAF Awards. Nnadozie is up for two awards: Women’s Player of The Year and Women’s Goalkeeper of The Year. Lookman is in contention for the Men’s Player of The Year Award. Both players aim to follow in the footsteps of past Nigerian winners like Victor Osimhen and Asisat Oshoala.
Additionally, the Super Eagles and the Super Falcons are finalists for the CAF National Team of the Year awards. The Super Eagles impressed at the AFCON, while the Super Falcons represented Africa at the Olympics. Chiamaka Okwuchukwu from Falconets and Rivers Angels is a nominee for Women’s Young Player of The Year. Edo Queens, the Nigeria Women Football League champions, are also nominated for Women’s Club of The Year.
