A popular Nigerian comedian who has transitioned to preaching, known as Woli Arole, is encouraging Nigerians to take pride in their Nigerian citizenship just as they do with foreign citizenship.
In a recent Instagram post, Arole urged Nigerians to celebrate being Nigerian with the same enthusiasm they show for citizenship in countries like the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States.
He expressed curiosity as to why people tend to celebrate other countries’ citizenship but often overlook celebrating their own Nigerian citizenship.
He wrote, “Why do people celebrate citizenship of UK, Canada and America and Me wey I Dey Naija never celebrate my own. Abeg John, Feyi, Flo, Charles, let’s celebrate Jor. Who’s celebrating with ME?”
