Chelsea submit official bid for Osimhen

Chelsea has officially made a bid for Victor Osimhen, a Napoli striker, as reported by Sports Extra. The Blues have submitted an offer to the player’s agent, Roberto Calenda, and are set to hold talks with Napoli. Osimhen has expressed his desire to leave Napoli, and negotiations are underway to reach an agreement before the transfer deadline.

In other news, Lukaku, who is currently not in favor at Chelsea, is close to finalizing his move to Napoli. The striker has undergone a medical examination and is expected to sign the contract soon. Despite receiving a tempting offer from Al-Ahli, Osimhen is determined to stay in Europe at this stage of his career.

Chelsea is keen on bolstering their striker options and has also set their sights on Ivan Toney from Brentford as an alternative to Osimhen. Osimhen has been a standout player for Napoli since his arrival, scoring 76 goals in 133 appearances. He recently won the African Footballer of the Year award and secured the eighth position in the Ballon d’Or rankings.

Although Al-Ahli made a substantial offer for Osimhen, the player is focused on European opportunities. His current contract with Napoli includes a release clause of €130m valid until June 2026. Paris Saint-Germain is also interested in signing Osimhen, having previously had discussions with the player.

As negotiations continue, Osimhen is training separately from the Napoli squad.
