Consulate boosts Nigeria-India ties through community projects

A representative from the Consulate-General of India High Commission in Lagos commended the Indian community for their collaborative efforts in uplifting local communities and strengthening Nigeria-India relations through various projects and services. The statement was made during an event where Suresh Nayak was inaugurated as President of the Rotary Club of Eko Atlantic and a service project was launched at Lagoon Hotel, Lagos.

The consulate representative expressed gratitude for the active involvement of the Indian community in Nigeria, highlighting the positive impact of initiatives such as blood donations, school renovations, and food distribution drives facilitated by the Rotary Club in both countries. He emphasized the significant role played by Indian nationals in Lagos in these projects, contributing to the bond between India and Nigeria.

In his remarks, the Governor of Rotary 9112 commended the new president for his past contributions and encouraged him and his team to continue the club’s mission of creating positive change in Nigeria. Responding to the messages of goodwill, Nayak mentioned that his new role in the club presented an opportunity to engage in community service and reciprocate the support received from society in areas such as education, welfare, and the environment.
