In a recent development, a Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja issued a restraining order against two estate development companies, Paulo Homes Ltd and Titan Castles Nigeria Ltd, regarding a disputed land in Abuja. The order was granted following an ex-parte application filed by Jonah Capital Nigeria Limited.
The court order prohibits the two companies from carrying out any activities on the land in question, located at Plot No. 4, Cadastral Zone LO5, Lugbe West, Abuja. This includes deploying manpower, construction, or any form of trespassing on the property.
The application, supported by an affidavit from Jonah Capital’s CEO, emphasized the urgency of the situation and the need for court intervention to prevent any irreversible actions by the defendants. Failure to grant the application could result in significant damages and render any future judgment ineffective.
The case has been adjourned for further hearing on February 3 to address the issues surrounding the disputed land.
