The female U-19 cricket team from Nigeria, known as the Junior Female Yellow Greens, has advanced to the Super 6 stage of the 2025 ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup in Malaysia. They will be facing off against England and Ireland in the upcoming matches. Despite a defeat against South Africa, their victory over New Zealand secured their spot in the next stage of the tournament.

During the match against South Africa, the Nigeria team, led by captain Piety Lucky, put up a strong fight on the field. Despite a rain delay, they managed to restrict South Africa to 49 for 2 in the first innings. However, Nigeria struggled during their chase and could only score 24 for 8.

Looking ahead, the Nigerian team is determined to make history as they prepare to compete against England and Ireland in the Super 6 stage. Both England and Ireland advanced from Group B, with England finishing first and Ireland third. The Junior Female Yellow Greens will need to perform well in the upcoming matches to build on their group stage success and aim for a spot in the semi-finals.
