Edo: INEC rules out PVC collection by proxy

The Electoral Commission announced the commencement of the distribution of Permanent Voter Cards to new applicants in various local government areas of Edo State. It emphasized the importance of applicants collecting their cards in person and not through third parties. The distribution at the ward level has been successfully completed, with a high percentage of PVCs collected within a short period. The commission attributed this success to its strategic packaging of PVCs and direct communication with voters. The next phase of the collection process will take place at the 18 Local Government Area offices in Edo State. The commission urged voters to collect their PVCs within the specified timeframe and provided detailed information on the locations of the LGA offices for easy access.
