Edo workers to get 13th month salary

The governor of Edo State has given approval for the payment of an additional month’s salary to state civil service workers as a form of motivation.

Additionally, there is a new policy in place that mandates the automatic employment of first-class graduates from Edo State, whether from Nigerian or foreign universities, into the state civil service. This initiative is aimed at enhancing the quality of the workforce within the system.

The Edo Head of Service recently announced the Graduate Development Programme, which seeks to bring in skilled manpower to improve service delivery, thereby fostering growth and development in the state.

As part of this program, the selected graduates will be rotated across various government sectors and may eventually transition to the private sector to gain more experience. This move is intended to equip them with diverse skills that can be utilized to enhance the state’s development.
