A former governor of Edo State, Senator Adams Oshiomole, has refuted claims that the All Progressives Congress is hoarding money to influence voters during the election. Oshiomole, who also serves as the senator representing the Edo North Senatorial District, stated that there have been no reports of violence across the state as voting is ongoing.
Speaking to reporters after casting his ballot at Iyamho, Ward 10 Unit 01 in Estako West Local Government Area, Oshiomole emphasized that the voting process has been peaceful. He dismissed allegations of vote-buying, highlighting that people are supporting their cause due to the positive impact of his previous governance.
Oshiomole pointed out the enduring legacy of the initiatives he implemented during his tenure, contrasting them with the perceived lack of progress under the current administration. He emphasized that the community recognizes the stark difference and continues to show support based on the tangible development witnessed during his time in office.
