Emir Sanusi seeks FG’s mandate to resolve Fulani crisis

The 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has expressed his willingness to mediate in the Fulani crises in Nigeria to find a lasting solution. During a meeting with the Tapital Pulaku Njode Jam Nigeria, a Fulani group, at his palace, Sanusi emphasized the urgent need for the government’s support to address the challenges faced by the Fulanis in the country.

Sanusi acknowledged the hardships endured by the Fulanis, including attacks, killings, and cattle rustling, emphasizing the importance of resolving these issues. He highlighted the presence of individuals tarnishing the community’s reputation and emphasized the need for collaboration between the government and stakeholders to achieve peace and prosperity among the Fulanis and all Nigerians.

The leader of the Fulani group, Madibo Jada, expressed their loyalty to Emir Sanusi and praised his leadership. Jada highlighted the group’s nationwide presence and expressed confidence in the Emir’s ability to restore the Fulanis’ reputation and recognize their contributions to Nigeria’s development.
