The contract of the captain of Tottenham Hotspur, Son Heung-min, has been extended until 2026.
Having joined the Premier League team in 2015 from Bayer Leverkusen, the 32-year-old South Korean has played 431 matches and scored 169 goals, ranking fourth in Tottenham’s all-time scoring chart.
Son, who became the club captain in August 2023, shared the Premier League Golden Boot with Mohamed Salah of Liverpool in the 2021/22 season after scoring 23 goals.
With 131 caps and 51 goals for the South Korean national team, Son also serves as their captain.
This season, despite a challenging period for Spurs who are currently 12th in the Premier League, Son has managed to score seven goals in various competitions.
